Meet The Team

I worked for 22 years in health insurance before training and receiving my license in massage therapy.  I practiced massage for 12 years later transitioning to birth doula work in 2016.  I currently work for a local non profit. I have always had a heart to serve and help others.  When I learned there were girls and young women that were suffering from shame and humiliation because they don’t have the basic needs for their periods. I knew I needed to do something to help.

Born and raised in Seattle, WA. Attended Gonzaga University with degrees in Sociology and Criminal Justice. I currently work in recruiting for a tech startup, but I have a strong passion for service, social justice, equality and education.

I worked for the Boeing Company for 22 years, where I held several positions. I worked in the military side as well as the commercial side of Boeing. My last position  upon leaving the company, I was a buyer for the 737 & 757 aircrafts.  In 2000, as I saw my career at the Boeing Company coming to an end, I went back to school to become a massage therapist. In 2002 I  opened my own private practice, as well as a massage supply store. In 2014, I made the decision to close my business, and go into retirement, where I remain today.

Born and raised in West Seattle, Washington; I worked in the Grocery, Dental, Massage, and Manufacturing Bridge Crane industries combined for  25 years.
I have always wanted to make a difference and give back through Philanthropy work.  My wonderful and kind hearted friend Vonda has started her own charitable organization- Kay and Lina Project for Girls- and I am delighted with this opportunity to give back and join Vonda since I am very grateful for all of the many amazing people who have helped me including Vonda; along my life’s journey. 

Born in Garissa, Kenya, 31 years ago, my dad was in the army and we moved around the country alot. I spent most of my childhood in Nairobi where I got to meet people with different races, religions, cultures, customs and this made me appreciate all our differences and that is what makes us stand out. At the end of the day, we have one thing in common and that is we are humans, we need love and support. I am proud and privileged to be part of this amazing team. I've worked with Red Cross, The Judiciary and  bus companies and it has opened alot of opportunities for me to travel, meet people, see different places as we organized charity drives and made a difference to the small numbers we met and had time with. Vonda, with you as our captain, I know you'll sail us to greater heights and touch lives of more people than we can imagine!
